Tipworthy Tuesday: Using Dry Ice

We are all about Halloween party prep this week, and today, we wanted to share some ideas for using a creepy-theme staple… dry ice!

We’ve used it at a past Goth Glam party in a couple of different ways. My favorite use for it is in water. You get this overflow effect and it’s super cool. Just plop it in a vase that’s about half to 3/4 full of water. We also tinted the water purple (just a few drops of food coloring!), which added a little something.

It’s also the perfect accessory for a bubbling cauldron look…

In that case, we put the dry ice around the rim in a larger tub, with the food items in a smaller tub within.

Of course, there are necessary precautions you have to take when you use dry ice. Don’t touch it! Check out some basic safety and handling information here before you dive in.

Don’t forget to share your Halloween party photos with us!
