In South Florida, word was beginning to spread about Karis Walker’s unique ideas and party styling talent, specifically when it came to her custom food labels and artful displays of mini bites & sweet treats. Karis decided to make her dream of a party styling business into a true reality, and after recruiting her crafty friend Jen Fontanetta as her business partner, The Sunshine Party Studio was born.

“The Sunshine Party Studio Celebrates One Year of Custom Event Styling; Niche Proves to be a Success”
West Palm Beach, FL (April 2012) Karis Walker and Jen Fontanetta of The Sunshine Party Studio are pleased to announce the first anniversary of their company, located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Their specialty niche of event styling has taken the local and online party blog communities by storm.
This dynamic duo creates the styling of custom affairs, including weddings, throughout South Florida and beyond, all while maintaining a widely followed blog that shares special event inspiration and portfolio pieces of their own.
“It’s all about the personalized touches”, Jen, Editor, Stylist and co-owner of The Sunshine Party Studio explains. “Any event company can come into a wedding and throw up extravagant centerpieces and chandeliers. We execute a custom theme for our clients with organic handmade touches, which I happen to love and are very popular with event design these days.” She further indicates, “We’ve found that many people want the ease of letting us interpret their vision so they can sit back and enjoy; that is exactly where we come in. It is our passion to make events beautiful for our clients”.
So what is event styling, really?
Karis, Lead Party Stylist and co-owner, clarifies, “Many people call us event planners, but that isn’t really the case. We execute the visual arts of an event. For example, we produce the impressionable details of an event from the welcome table to the candy bar, and everything in between. We create an atmosphere that encompasses the theme and provide custom details for our clients; our printable sign and label collections alongside our themed dessert displays being the most popular”.
“I’m living my dream”, Jen says when asked about life now after ending a full-time corporate career. “It’s an amazing feeling to have a bride look at you after her wedding day and say, ‘that’s exactly what I wanted!’.”
The future is bright for these two, who have already booked several events through the end of 2013.
